SPECIAL REPORT - "World Meat Market Trends and Trade in Grains"

The IGC Secretariat prepared this detailed analysis of meat market trends and trade in grain as part of its 2004/05 work programme. The report was considered by the Council in June 2005 and subsequently released for publication.

The study explores trends in the main meat exporters and importers and highlights their importance to the grains sector. It provides estimates of the amount of grain traded indirectly in the form of meat.   (July 2005)
